Yes, you may apply with up to two (2) projects as long as all the materials and other qualifications are met.

Within the past five (5) years, the Writer must have sold a primetime television series, worked on a primetime television series, or had a feature film produced.
Within the past five (5) years, the Producer or Development Executive must have produced or sold a television series.

Preference will be given to applicants who are not linked by common management, ownership or control with any parent company with offices outside of Australia.

If the project is currently in development with a commissioner or sold to a third party, it is ineligible.

Yes, as long as the project is not in actual development (optioned, sold or commissioned) with a third party broadcaster or streamer.

Because FUTURE VISION Forward is an intensive immersive program, you must be able to dedicate the required time to participate completely. Your project ideas can be based on real events, true stories, or real people, as long as they are in the public domain, free of copyright issues, or you have obtained the necessary underlying rights to avoid legal disputes over ownership.
PROGRAM INFORMATION

Yes, each project's creative team will receive a $10,000 AUD stipend.

FVF will run from approx. October 2026 through March 2027. It is not a full-time program - participants will meet in group sessions and have individual one-on-one meetings, but they are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. The schedule will be confirmed once participants are selected.

Participants will be paired with their mentors by Australians in Film in consultation with mentors.

Every application will be read at least once and may be read up to four times.

This program will be online through Zoom, though there may be in-person opportunities scheduled.
