  • Screen Australia

    Screen Australia is the Australian Federal Government agency that supports the development, production and promotion of Australian scripted and documentary content. The agency invests directly in Australian film, television, online titles and games. It also supports First Nations stories and practitioners through its First Nations Department. The agency provides a range of resources and opportunities to the industry, including access to research, market intelligence sector-building programs such as Enterprise, and special initiatives including Gender Matters. Screen Australia represents Australia’s screen industry internationally, including at festivals, markets and major awards. The agency also tracks and reports on industry health, maintains a database of Australian titles called The Screen Guide and provides free industry resources via Screen News.

    Senior Counsel Karen Robson, from the LA office of Pryor Cashman, also serves on the Australians in Film board. She is attending Future Vision 2025 in Melbourne and looks forward to meeting with the attendees. While a U.S. resident and attorney for many years, she is Australian and had the honour of appearing as an actress in Peter Weir’s Picnic at Hanging Rock as a teenager and working as an attorney in the media law department of a major Sydney firm after graduating from law school in Sydney before moving the States.
